I've noticed a serious flaw in the steampunk apparel I want to wear. Namely, I am far too skinny to properly pull of a corset. Or even a f aux corset! I'm definitely no Lolo. As most steampunk ladies find them an essential to a properly steamy wardrobe, I am at a loss. Truly.
I mean, it's not as if they're goggles or anything, but really. Advice?

Didn't the more fashionable and masochistic women of the 19th century have an assistant that would put their foot in the small of their backs and pull with all their might to squeeze their pudgy benefactors into their whalebone corsets? Maybe you could put an ad on Craigslist for an assistant? Think of the responses you'd get.....definitely UYD worthy.
